Re-Count And Recount ☝✌

“Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits," ~ Psalm 103:2

Re-Count And Recount ☝✌

Some days... some weeks for that matter, can really leave us feeling weary and worn, tattered and torn. 😩

Maybe you felt that way recently, or maybe you may even be feeling a little bit of that right now. Well here is a simple reminder for you...

The reminder, is to remember to remind yourself of the goodness of God in your life.

That's Step #1.

There's no doubt that God has done marvellous things, perhaps even miraculous things over the span of your life.  We're talking things that left you speechless, in awe, wowed or floored or simply effervescent with praise. 🙌

You know how the human mind is though, like weather to a coat of paint, past testimonies tend to fade when burnished by time, and like that once bright and brilliant wall of colour, a refresher becomes necessary.

So the first step is to remember the things that God has done in the past, that made you sure that He's with you and walks with you... and count them up again.

On to Step #2.

For the next step, find any and every opportunity to share these stories of past victories, every opportunity you get.  Testify of them... unscripted and unedited if you must, but start letting people know of these true-to-life tales of God's manifest, love and care and awesomeness.

Not only will you likely be a blessing to the hearer of your stories (because you just never know what that person may be going through), but there's something about bringing an old account back to life, that makes it stay alive and impactful.

In fact, it's so powerful, that step #2, will help to make step #1 much easier the next time you have to draw for this particular exercise of self-serve encouragement.

Step #3...

...this is the best part of all.  There's no step 3. 😂  It's just that simple.

So to recap: When you're feeling a little deflated, discouraged, or "down in the dumps" simply Re-Count And Recount.
