Have you ever run into an old acquaintance, relative or friend only to be shocked almost out of your shoes to discover that he or she is now a believer in Christ?
It's of course not that you don't believe that God the All-Powerful is capable of saving just about anyone... but as human as we all are, it might take you just a minute to reconcile the person you once knew with the person standing before you now.
That moment of reconciliation of this old friend's... well... reconciliation to God is, first of all, an opportunity to give God some praise. Second of all, it should be a stark reminder and eye-opener to the fact that God can and will save just about anybody, regardless of whether or not we think (even on a subconscious level) that they are not quite "save-worthy".
Have you ever wondered how many people out there have been earmarked for your personal ministry of evangelism to reach them with the Gospel?
Maybe it's just one... one particular person... but perhaps that person just didn't quite come to mind as "worthy"... orrrr, perhaps you just didn't quite consider yourself as worthy... worthy enough to be a tool to be used by God.
Whatever the reason is, here's a truth to hold on to: "God isn't making wild shots in the dark." God isn't out here guessing in these streets and hoping things line up. He has it all lined up and ready for you... all you have to do is step up and step into that role that He's picked out for you.
You are "the one" that "The One" has chosen to reach "the one" he's chosen to be reached.
So... don't discount yourself. Don't discount the importance of why God made you "you" and put you where He's placed you in life... and don't discount the reason that you just "happen" to have made the acquaintance of that one other person that God wants to use you to make the introduction to Himself.
If we each take the approach of following through to ensure that: though being just one person I will follow through with everything I've got, to reach at least that one other person earmarked for my ministry, then that's easily a million believers sparking the awakening of a million other believers-to-be. 1 + 1 = 2. Millions + Millions = More millions... it's simple Quick Maths.
