Not Other Wise πŸ¦‰πŸ€“

It seems James Chapter 1 is the passage that just keeps on giving, because over the last 3 weeks we've been able to continuously eke out nothing short of precious nuggets of pure gold, covering the secrets of persevering and the rewards ready to be reaped.

Today we tack on just a little bit more on the Rhema Word that we have been receiving as we consider what seems like the icing on top of an already amazing cake, baked with resilience and perseverance, layered with the Blessings of maturity, character and contentment and now topped with, what verse 5 brings... wisdom.

This is such an apt lesson for this week, given the focus on the special ladies we call mothers. Β For many of us, all around the world... be it our own mothers, grandmothers or just some other caring soul who took it upon herself to mother us, whether part-time or full-time, whether they're still with us or not ...oftentimes, our earliest seeds of wisdom have been planted by these God-given maternal mavens.

James has been nurturing us along a path of facing and triumphing over challenges and adversity, and with dignity quite frankly... cladding this with character building and of course seeking God for wisdom whenever we encounter any situation that threatens to stump us.

That right there is of course the clincher. Β There are many out there who would profess to be wise and have ready answers for us... but if their guidance is not grounded in the Word of God, whether or not it's something we would or would not want to hear, then the truth is, that what they have to offer is not wisdom.

With that then we say, heed the Word of God, call upon Him and trust in His counsel, for He alone can provide us with what we need to be wise and Not Other Wise.
