Make A Way ☑

Strange as we are sometimes, Jamaicans are always an expressive people, with an equally expressive language.

As it is with most cultures, the marriage bond between our language, our culture, our music, food and our way of thinking is practically inseparable.

The Jamaican vernacular is a living, breathing, extremely unique communication style.  It is a language naturally given to comedy, colourful expression, vivid storytelling and artful compositions.  So versatile is it, that traditional points of demarcation between linguistic constructs are nuanced by the most minute of oral inflexions and contextual clues.

It is only in the Jamaican context that "a way", is not just a reference to a route, but it can also be an emotion, a feeling, a perception or even a behaviour. 😅

It can be super ambiguous outside of contextual understanding, what it means when something looks "a way" or feels "a way" or even when someone acts "a way".

The truth is that, vague as it is... for those with the familiarity and experience, the notion behind the sentiment is as clear as day.

The same can be said within the Christian context, when we as believers affirm that Jesus Christ is in control and that He'll always be able to find a way to meet our needs if we put our Faith in Him.

Sometimes the exact "how" is elusive, something it's vague... the truth is that, those are the exact ingredients that resilient Faith is made of.

No matter our condition, situation or what we face, we should always remember that nothing confounds God.

So, whether things look "a way", sound "a way", or you feel "a way"... just remember that there is no need to worry or be anxious about it, God can always Make A Way.
