Love Any Way 💞
Throughout life, we'll encounter different kinds of people. People are very varied, in the way they think and in the way they act.
The way you relate to one person may be quite in contrast to the way we relate to another.
They may be friends or they may even be family, but you may feel like some people are easier to love than others.
The jury is still out on whether the person you're thinking of right now is actually easier to love than others. In fact, what might for you be an effortless relationship with a specific person, might just be someone else's Class A nightmare.
The truth is, different relationships just require different engagement and that's totally okay... if they are all backed by the same love.
So you might find that there are people who you only hear from when they want something. No disrespect intended. There's no malice, but the fact is that your worlds just don't intersect enough for you to expect anything beyond that. That's okay. Don't look down on that relationship, let love reign anyway.
There may be others who pretend like you're at or near the centre of their world or a part of their inner circle, when nothing could be further from the truth. Or perhaps you're genuinely elevated to that prestigious position, but that perch proves to be quite precarious and fickle. At the drop of a hat you could be easily and swiftly reassigned from BFF to public enemy #1. Guess what? That's okay too, all you have to do is be mindful, sober and let love reign anyway.
Then of course, there are those who are truly the God-sent kind of companion. Someone who will be a friend to the end. A true armour-bearer, cupbearer, through thick and thin... and guess what? YOU mess up this relationship. Maybe all the time. That's actually okay too. Make improvements. Make amendments and let love reign anyway.
Regardless of the kind of relationships God Blesses you with, they all have purpose. Those persons all have a place in your life and you have a place in those lives.
So whether you find it sometimes stressful, or you find one particularly pointless, or you yourself feel unworthy... there's something that God has prepared for you in the relationships that He allows. The approach and the ways you love may be different and varied from one relationship to the other, but that's okay. Guess what? Love Any Way.
