It's Christmas Time π
"For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace." ~ Isaiah 9:6-7
Wow. Β Just... wow.
Do you find that time seems to move super-fast at Christmas?
It's like, no sooner than you start feeling the little Christmas breeze, than it's time to shout out "Happy New Year π".
It's like we all step into some special sci-fi time warp vortex that makes the fabric of time operate at double-speed.
Or could it just be that familiar phenomenon of time flying when we're having fun, or excited?
Whatever the reason, the good news is that... well, just that, the Good News. π
The good news... AKA "the Gospel" tells us that Jesus came to Earth in the form of a human child (AKA "Baby Jesus"), on a mission to save us all... all who will hear and heed... from our sins.
If you are, or know someone that needs to hear that message, then for you the good news, is that there is still a lot of time... and (thank God) opportunity to hear and respond to the "Good News" by simply accepting Jesus as Lord (owner) and Saviour (Granter of Salvation) of your life.
If you've already accepted Jesus, then there's hardly a time like now to deliberately slow down and appreciate all that the Good News entails, what it means and has meant for you over the years... and even over this year specifically.
So, though the time doth seem a-gallop, don't let all the special moments for reflection and worship pass you by. Β Step out of the fast-paced wave of the world's raging current for this season... and mindfully, purposefully refresh yourself in the still waters of Christmas Time.
