Celebrate Jesus 🙌

This Sunday will mark a very special day in the lives of a few believers that have recently joined the family of God.

For many who know Christ and seek Him and serve Him daily, the importance of that day in their own lives is never lost upon them.  For many of us, it is the day that new life began, a kind of unweighted and unburdened living that fills us daily with joy and appreciation and even the grit to keep going when things are looking dim and grim.

Do you know Christ?  Do you love Him? If you do, do you sometimes reminisce on that moment you made that all-important decision to surrender fully to Him?

So many of us celebrate Birthdays and Anniversaries, oftentimes with ferocious tenacity... we even observe and commemorate dates and events that may not have been marked with rejoicing, such as the anniversary of loved ones who have passed away.

We do so to connect with and honour the reality of that truth.  Sometimes it evokes great rejoicing... and sometimes it ushers in a certain grounded soberness.

As we enter into this Yuletide season, celebrating the triumphant entry of Christ into this world... and what better way to get started than rejoicing with those celebrating the triumphant entry of Christ into their hearts...let us not only take time to celebrate our Saviour and what He has done for our newly minted brothers and sisters, but let us also reflect and herald the glad tidings of what Jesus has done in our own lives.  In fact, why not mark the date it was in your own story that Christ rescued you from sin, or pick any date for that matter and make it a recurring event of elation? 💡

There's no denying the specialness of the month of December and all the warmth it brings, when loved ones get together and the world seems just a tad less mean.  So let's capitalize on the slowdown, let's take advantage of this time of year, while the world's ears are ringing with the joyous sound of Christmas... and use the opportunity to truly Celebrate Jesus.
